Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote form needs your gender, birth date, the coverage amount, how long you want it, your health in general terms, and whether you use tobacco. That's enough to get carrier rates. Your name, address and detailed health history are only collected if you choose to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They're the rates each carrier quotes for the health level you selected. Underwriting may confirm, improve or change your actual class. What you see on this site is an estimate only—not a guarantee, not an offer, and not a promise of any particular price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You give your name and the application is created from the exact quote you chose. Then you continue on the carriers' secure application platform. You can save your progress and come back later. You sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the amount and what you told us. Carriers with immediate coverage programs can decide right away for eligible applicants; each quote lists whether an exam is required, may be required, or isn't required.
Is a longer term better?
A term should cover the period when your family or business would suffer if your income disappeared: a mortgage balance, children still at home, a business loan. Longer terms cost more per month but guarantee the rate for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote form doesn't ask for contact details. We don't sell or share visitor data. Our measurement is cookieless. See the privacy page for a complete list of what we collect and who collects it.
